What We Do for Members:
Since 1990, the Regional Committee has been serving members
and their families
with programs to help with the real-life demands of today’s working families.
Regional Committee program highlights:
• Dependent
Care Reimbursement Fund – A program that offers a
subsidy for child/elder care for families who qualify.
• Domestic Abuse – A Domestic Violence Educational and Awareness program given at the workplace that is combined with resources, support and referral services.
• Men and Women As Allies – Educational program at the workplace that teaches men and women how to ally to stop DV, bullying and workplace violence.

Caring Bag Program
– Program that provides care bag to Domestic Violence Shelters and Donations
to DV agencies.
• Policies: Gradual Return to Work – A policy that grants employees the ability to return to work gradually, over a one year period, after the birth or adoption of a child.
• Resource and Referral Services – A service that provides resources and referrals on a wide-variety of topics. Some of the topics are: child care and parenting, depression and anxiety, drugs and alcohol, elder care, aging, events and transitions, health & wellness, legal/financial, work and personal growth.• Resource
Center: A program that provides a private space, with a computer/printer/telephone
at the workplace. At the Resource Center,
members can access the Regional Committee’s work and family programs and
can also obtain information and literature. Members also have access to the
Verizon e-Web, VZ-Life, Benefits information and other resources and information.
